Business owner installing pendant light fixture

Howdy, I'm Jamison!

Seacoast Bits & Bytes was founded after working in nonprofit management, business and higher education for 25 years. I have worked and/or volunteered in residential repair, remodeling and construction for 35 years.

I grew up around my family’s oilfield electrical and construction company in Texas. I absorbed every opportunity to learn about the business, particularly the bucket trucks and tools!

When I was 10 years old, I was deputized a “darn good helper” by Jim, my neighbor and mentor, as he handed me a new baseball cap and a soldering iron. I was thrilled! Jim was an accomplished oilfield communications engineer who taught me physics, geometry, electronics, welding, engine repair, carpentry and more.

From that moment, I immersed myself into every opportunity to learn and practice the right skills to be an ethical and professional contractor. Here are some of my credentials:

  • Thirty-five (35) years of mentorship by licensed Electricians, Master Carpenters, Engineers, Facilities Managers and Preservation Practitioners

  • Member, Better Business Bureau of New Hampshire

  • Certified, EPA Lead-Safe Certified Renovator (Cert. #: NAT-F234614-1)

  • Graduate, Purdue University (Bachelor's degree); Baker University (Master's degree)

  • Graduate, Disney Institute for Business Excellence

  • Construction and Fundraising Volunteer, Habitat for Humanity in Dallas, Texas and New Orleans, Louisiana

  • Facilities Department Volunteer, Austen Riggs Center, Stockbridge, Massachusetts

  • Fix-It Home Repair Volunteer, Sudbury Senior Center, Sudbury, Massachusetts

  • "Repair Café” Volunteer, Sudbury, Massachusetts

Continuing education is critical. To expand my knowledge and skills, I attend home building shows, take "pro-to-pro" classes and belong to the following organizations:
